IDID Award

The Interaction Design for International Development (IDID) Award is associated with each INTERACT Conference and is to recognise the most outstanding contribution to the application of interactive systems for social and economic development of people in developing countries, in the form of a refereed paper submitted to and delivered at the Conference. IFIP Working Group 13.8 on Interaction Design for International Development offers this Award to highlight the need for information technology that is designed to meet the needs, values, aspirations, and preferences of people who are economically and socially marginalized throughout the world, and to draw attention to the potential of human-computer interaction to contribute to the design and delivery of such technologies.
